When I came to State I was still a hardcore Duke fan. Throughout freshman year I began to start to be a bigger and bigger state fan. We had a good football season but I still saw myself pulling for Duke when State played Duke. Basketball season started and I remember pulling for Duke when they beat state in cameron my first year. After that I still pulled for Duke and I got tickets to see them play in the RBC center. When I got there, I realized that somethign had to change. State was playingi with so much heart and ever since then, I have pulled for State through and through.
Being a State fan is definitly one of the hardest things in my life. Its compareable to the Red Sox or the Buffalo Bills or something close to it. We are always so close and then we just fold in the end. Tonight was no different I watched the game in Reyonalds and the place was hopping. We tied the game up at 65 and the place was going crazy. And just like in the carolina game earlier this year, we went on a scoring drought and lost by 12 pts. Its so annoying and it hurts my heart so much. I am an a 100% N.C. State fan. I love them more than anythign else. It just saddens me that I probably will never get to enjoy a National Championship and everything that carolina and duke enjoys. We are always the 3rd wheel and we can never beat carolina. That part probably bothers me the most. My freshman year we beat carolina in football and ever since then, its been downhill ever since and we haven't beat them in anything. It sucks. And tonight hurt so much too. We were actually competing. We were not playing well but my favorite player, Ced Simmons was amazing. He had 27 points and played his heart out. It was so great and then we just folded. I can't understand it. It really just hurts me and I can't do anything about it. I don't know. It just sucks. I used to just blame the coaches btu I've made a pact with myself to stop doing that and support them. So i support Sendek and the coaches and I just get let down. Its just annoying. I don't know why I care so much :-/

So i'm finally updating b/c i've been extremly lazy.. I'll work backwards. This has been the absolute worst sports weekend of my life, with state losing to carolina and the giants getting knocked out in the first round of the playoffs. enough about that.
last week, david, freeman, and i all went to snowshoe. It was pretty great. WE had a lot of good times, like stopping at big back creek which is a random creek in West Va and touching the water and peeing in it....well i tried but freeman came up behind me and tried to push me in so i coudlnt go. Then we skiied wednesday night. IT was pretty amazing how big that place is. ITs liek all of boone in one mountain. It was so much fun.
X-mas break was pretty great. I love not having to do anything haha. I made a lot of money working and that was good as usual. Well anyway i'm off to dinner.. comments please hah.

So its been like twenty years since i've updated and I'm bored on halloween so i'm updating haha. Tonight was pretty great. I had club tennis practice and I played realy wel for the first time in forever. I think im finally able to play loose and I think im gonna be good for a while. I really am enjoying playing, b/c im playing people a lot better than I am so I am getting better.
I'm gonna be pretty busy over the next couple of weeks but the semester is almost over which means Ashley is coming home. YAYAYYAYAYAYYA . As you can tell, i'm pretty excited. It really sucks to have an internet/phone girlfriend so it will be nice to at least be able to talk to her on a daily basis.
Lets see...this week i am going home to go see HC play Bertie. Im looking forward to it. I haven't been home in a while. I miss my Tessy May haha(my dog) and my parents and brother of course. hahah.
hmmmmmmmmmmm ummm i really dont have much to say . i expect lots of random comments haha.

Ok So I'm really getting tired of racism. Grayson just told me something and I dont want to repeat...well i do but i care more about friendship so i won't mention any names or anything, but its getting really old. I mean ill admit in high school, sometimes i would think gosh what is wrong with them and stuff but now i feel like i have completly grown up and have little to none in my heart and mind at all. So when i hear people use the N word in a serious and demeaing manner it realy and truley bothers me or when i see a rebel flag it also bothers me. Now i know you can say heratige bla bla bla but its not heritage when a whole race of people look at that same flag and think hate. It would be like the germans holding up the swastika and saying i can wear it b/c its heritage when they would be put down told they were idiots. It just doesn't make any sense why anyone in this day and age would still think that. It happend to me when around a month ago and someone was acting really racist and now again its happened tonight...not to me directly but when my roomate told me about it, my jaw dropped. Its like reverting back to the 1960's. I jsut wanted to get that off of my chest....

Sooo Pete died this morning and I'm pretty devistated. Its gonna be hard to go home now and not be able to go to his house and talk about football and how wake forest is gonna be compared to state and talk about stuff but he is in a better place. Its just not easy at all. He was like my grandad. Definitly like my grandad. Im gonna miss him so much. Please pray for his family

So last night I went to the colplay concert and it was pretty great. Rilo Kiley opened and they are one of my favorite bands as well. It was really good in a rehersed sort of way. You could tell they had played the same set a thousand times but they added some stuff like playing a johnny cash song and singing happy b-day to one of the members. Chris Martin is sorta like Bono the way he prances aroudn the stage and they do the U2 thing where the guitarist and Chris Martin will stand back to back and sing and play but it was still fun to watch. Saturday I didn't do much and Friday not much either.
Its hard for me to get happy about much though b/c one of our close family friends is dying of cancer. Last weekdn he coudlnt' get out of his bed and it makes me really sad. We lived next door to him when i was little so he was sorta like a granddad to me and then we moved but we have gotton close again since I've been in school. He has the most positive attitude i have ever seen. He has had cancer 13 times and still keeps going strong but this time it is nothing the dr's can do :(. I dont really every cry much but this has really gotton to me if a sad song comes on the radio or tv or I just think about it sometimes. Its hard for me to concentrate on school b/c i feel like i want and need to go see him more b/c soon i wont be able to see him anymore. I know that i went through this same thing with nelda and that was also very hard but it still never gets easier. cancer really sucks and its really gay how they can't just find a cure for it. oh well he will be out of pain soon. :-/

So I just got back from the beach this weekend and it was pretty fun. Stephen's b-day today. Friday I just hung around at the beach and we ate dinner there. i ddin't even go to the beach on Saturday b/c it was so hot in the mornign and it rained and stormed that night so i was just lazy. We went out to dinner and then went back to the house. todya we woke up and went to eat lunch with my two of my dad's brothers and then I drove back to raleigh.
School is gonna be ok except for organic 2. It really is gonna be hell. Im gonna have to spend hours and hours in the tutoral center. I didn't think I coudl hate it more than I did last semester but I definitly see it happening. Oh well back to homework.

Well the reason I haven't updated for a while is b/c i've been travelling the world....literally. The 25th throught he 29th I went to New Orleans and that was a lot of fun. A lot of eating and walking to eat and eating and lots of that. We also went on a swamp tour and that was pretty great. We saw some huge alligators and racoons and that was cool. We also went on a ghost tour and that was interesting but very cheezy. Basically we did all of the redneck things that you would do in new orleans and it was fun.
After that I went to Australia. IT was amazing. I did not want to come home. Its such a beautiful place and its so clean. While New Orleans smelled like a huge dumpster, Sydney was great. The Aussies are so nice to. This one guy almost missed his bus to just tell how to get somewhere. It was great and the beer was always cold and good and the drinking age is 18 which is nice haha.
So I leave on August 2nd and the funniest thing happens. YOu leave on Aug 2nd and get there on Aug 4th b/c you cross the international dateline. I did not exist on August 3rd. There is no recollection of me being alive on August 3rd. I just thought it was cool. So i get there at 730 am and im pretty beat so i hang aroudn with ashley and go to her class and then took a nap in the afternoon and somehow stayed up until 1 and went to sleep.
Friday we left for Cairns (pronounced Cans) to go to the great barrier reef. Carins is extra cool just b/c one of their main streets is "shields" street. So i got a picture beside it haha. On Saturday we went diving and it was really choppy on the way out and i felt sorta sick but i was a trooper and didn't get sick. The diving was pretty great. I saw two white tip reef sharks, a turtle, some nemo's a dorey and nemo's friends and tons of other fish. Sunday we just walked around cairns and explored and then we flew back to Sydney.
Monday we went to the zoo and it was pretty cool. Lots of Aussie animals including koalas and kangaroos which was cool. I got some good pictures haha. Tuesday, ashley had class so then we went to the observatory tower that night and saw Sydney from really high up which was pretty amazing to see. Then after that we went to a bar called Scruffy Murphy's which was prettty good. They ahd a band that played mostly cover songs but I realized that I really like Australian beer. Anyway, Wednesday it was sorta overcast so we waited around and went to the harbour to see the opera house and harbour bridge from close up and it was pretty amazing. Then we ate at this pancake place that was like having dessert for dinner. It was so good. Thursday Ashlye had class all day again so that night we went to Hard Rock and hung around but for some reason i was really tired so I went to bed pretty early. Friday we went to the aquarium which was pretty awesome. They really cool fish and I liked it better than the zoo but i may be partial since i really like diving anyway. That night we went to a club called three wise monkeys an dthat was pretty fun. Liked the beer again. Its really weird to be able to drink all of a sudden for a week. I guess it will be this weird when i turn 21. Then Saturday we to a market and bought souviner(sp) stuff and that night we saw wedding crashers. Sunday i woke up and packed and then came home. It was pretty sad leaving knowing that I wont see Ashley again until November but now that I went im glad to know who her friends are and stuff so I feel better.
So school starts Wednesday and I'm pretty bummed. As you can guess by the time im wide awake and waiting for the tylenol pm to kick in b/c im still pretty jet lagged. Hopefully I'll be ok by wednesday. This semester is really and truely gonna suck. I can't imagine how hard the classes im taking are gonna be and my stupid self decided to take them all at once. Physics, microbiology and organic 2 bleh. Oh well i have one more day of freedom. So i updated a lot so I expect lots of comments :):)

SO things are going ok. Ashley left Tuesday and I haven't talked to her since then b/c i guess she doens't have the internet or her phone thing set up. It sucks when you can't even say hey to someone.. But the good news is that for my 21st b-day im going to see her. I thought it was a good excuse to visit australia. Im pretty nervous b/c i've never flown by myself before and this is a big time to do it. I'll either be on a plane or in an aiport for about 27 hours. I think i may die b/c of that but at least i get to go visit her.
hmm lets see. work is getting really boring. Ill be working by myself the next two weeks in the museum b/c my boss will be in the field ...im not sure where thats jsut what she calls it. So that will be even more boring b/c ill be by myself. The lab is gtting really boring and im not getting many hours which means not much money when i really need it for my trip to australia and stuff. oh well it will turn out ok..
im going home this weekend for hillary lassiter's wedding. how weird is that. I grew up with her and she was one of my best friends. Its really weird to be going to her wedding knowing that someone my age is getting married.. Marrage really scares me for some reason.

SOOOO the physical therapist said i won't be running and jumping until august :(:(:(:(:( When she said that, it really felt like someone was sticking a knife in me. I really thought i would be better in a couple of weeks but i guess not. I mean it really hurt me. I wanted to play tennis all summer and then i had to go and tear my calf. How bad does that suck :(. She said I coudl possibly go out and hit the tennis ball but i coudln't run after it. I guess that would be decent but not the same. It really just sucked.
On a positive note the Dave Matthews Band concert is tomorrow which is exciting. Robert Randolph who Rolling Stones said is one of the top 100 guitarists of all time has been traveling around on the tour will hopefully still be there wednesday. that would be just wonderful.
Soooo im gonna go be depressed that i can't play real tennis til august :(/

So if you scrolled down past the 200 question survey and read what I did last weekend you may have read that I hurt my leg. I am home right now and yesterday i woke up and decided that it was more blue and that I needed to go see a doctor. So I went and they were pretty worried about it. They sent me to the emergancy room for x-rays and whatever. They said I needed to go see an orthopedic dr on monday b/c they think the muscle is torn or whatever which really really really sucks. It menas no tennis or anything for a long time. The guy was like, DO NOT PUT ANY WEIGHT ON IT. b/c i had walked to the x-ray room and i guess that wasen't good. So i'm on crutches for the first time ever and it sucks. They gave me perqueset and it hurt last night so I decided to take one. I felt like I had smoked a lot of weed, so i decided it was best not to take that anymore. SO i'm here on the couch, where i'll be for a while supposedly. Hopefully I'll be able to go to work on Tuesday. back to tv watching and being a lazy bum.

So last Thursday i jumped in the car and drove 5 and a half hours to the end of South Carolina to Ashley's lakehouse to vist her. We just ate dinner and stayed there, then Friday drove the rest of the way to Roswell which is like 30 min from Atlanta. Its a really pretty town and lots of huge houses that make the houses in Ahoskie look like shacks. But it was cool. Friday night we went to a braves game which was really fun. Turner Field is really cool and we were standing right by the coke bottle which shoots fireworks when someone hits a homerun and marcus giles hit a home run and all we heard was BOOM BOOM BOOM and it was sorta startling but cool. Saturday I went with her to get some stuff for Australia and then that night we went and saw Mr and Mrs Smith which was suprisenly good. I thought it would be sorta crappy but it is worth seeing again i think. Sunday we went to Sunday School. It was pretty neat. Her Youth building is absolutly huge. I can't even describe it. After that we ate lunch at her country club and then drove back to the lake. It sorta rained so we coudln't do anything Sunday. Monday was beautiful though so we went out on the boat and went tubing. Everything was going good and then it was my turn. The tube had a hole in the middle so you couldn't sit in it like you normally would. So i had my knees on the edge and it has an outer lining and my leg slipped in that and we were in a turn so i let go not remembering that it would probably jerk and it did and i fell back and I was being dragged by my calf and it felt like my calf was going to fall off.They eventually stopped and it took forever to get my leg out. So now i have this huge bruise on my left calf and its swollen. So Yesterday i drove back and i get back and my tire goes flat. So now im gonna go to colony tire to get a new tire. Its really crappy but oh well. It was still a lot of fun and she comes to visit me next Thursday, and then goes to Australia for 5 months :(. I think we will be ok though. Anyway, leave lots of comments

wow, its already june. Its amazing how fast this year has gone for many reasons. My jobs are going good. They are both sorta boring but maybe it will get better with time. Last weekend I went to my g'parents house in emerald isle and that was fun. I played a lot of tennis and thats always a good thing. Hmm lets see This weekend I am going home and I really thought I had a lot to say but I guess not haha.. A comment would still be appreciated.

SOOOO lets see, I haven't updated in a while. I started work on Monday and it was ok. I think it will get better as time goes on. All I did at the museum was help them move stuff into a building but I think on Monday we will start working with animals hopefully. The lab is ok, I don't really mind it at all. The only problem is that this summer is gonna suck big time. I get home at 2 or 3 every day and just sit around all night. Sometimes I'm back to the aparment earlier but I dont' know. I plan on going home most weekends. I think the problem is that I have nothing really to look forward to. I think I'm going to see Ashley in like 3 weeks and its hard to look forward to that b/c its so far away. I dunno. The apartment has been good though. No loud neighbors yet and we cooked spaggetti tonight for the first time and that was exciting. After dinner A.C and I went and saw Star Wars and it was great. It was easily the best of the new three but I still like Return of the Jedi the best. I am a big dork I know but I was really excited about it. So tomorrow we are going to a slaughter house in South Carolina to get brains from cows for a project at the lab. The guy at the lab was like are you afraid of blood b/c there is going to be a lot of it. I hope I do ok with it. I'll probably drive home tomorrow too so it will be about ten hours in a car tomorrow but I don't care, I would be bored out of my mind if I was left here all weekend. Especially since everyone is going home at some point. Alright I have to go to bed b/c the slaughter house trip starts at 630 in the morning Night yall :)

Sooo a lot has been going on recently. I finished school and went home on wednesday. During the time that I was at home I didn't do much at all really. I got some stuff for my apartment which we moved into today. My mom followed me up and helped me get some stuff ready. It was exciting sorta. Its very different. After living with someone for two years its weird to have your own room and something i have never had before, my own bathroom. That is very nice. I start work tomorrow. I am working for my advisor tomorrow at 9 and then I go into the museum of natural sciences at 130. The museum is without pay so I wo'nt be working there very much. Thats all the is basically going on. If your in Raleigh this summer i'll probably be here so just call me b/c im sure i'll be bored out of my mind.

So Coast told me I alwyas look at everyone's livejournal but never update so here I am. So exam week is almost over. I had my public speaking final last friday and that was pretty easy. Last thursday my statistics teacher gave us our take home test so we turnd that in this Tuesday. I had my Reproduction and Lactation of Farm Animals today and it was decent. Tomorrow is the big one. ORGANIC CHEMISTRY. I need to make a 65 on it to get at least a B- in the class. Hopefully i'll be able to do that. If I do that I should have a pretty good GPA for this semester which i'd be pretty stoked about.
SO after tomorrow I'm going over to Chapel Hell and help Ashley move into her apartment. Next semester shes gonna be gone to Australia. So no Ashley for a semester. Its gonna be tough haha but hopefully we'll both get through it. I also need to start moving stuff over to my apartment. ITs gonna be pretty cool hopefully.
Hmm lets see what else. Oh yeah, i'm probabaly gonna have two jobs this summer. I'll be working at the museum of natural sciences in the mammal collections unit. wow cool you say? umm no not really i'll be skinning and stuffing animals for the museum. YES!!. or not. I'll also be doing research with my advisor. Anyway, do what you can to get into vet school.
So Coast and I are listening to Robert Randolph and the Family band....and its great. I love it. I saw him live with Grayson and he blew me away. Hes a black guy who plays a slide guitar ( the ones you sit down to play). Then his cousins play bass and drums. Its really good.
So thats all I can think of. I better get to studying. I expect lots of comments.

So my brothers friend who got in a car wreck last week is brain dead and they are making a desicion on whether or not to take her off the ventilator. I think its really really sad. I don't even really know the girl but I'm in such a sad mood right now. I can't imagine what my brother is going through. He's lost three friends since being in school. I think the girl was hit by a drunk driver which makes it even worse. Now the man will just get off with manslaughter and be out of jail if he even goes in a couple of years. My biggest fear is a car wreck. I think it came from when my dad got in a really bad wreck when i was little when he was hit by a drunk driver and it really got to me when my mom said, he woudl have died if he had not been wearing his seat belt. I really dont' know what I would do if someone close to me was in a bad car wreck or me myself. I think about it all of the time when i am driving or getting a call saying someone was hurt bad or even worse. I don't understand why people drive so stupid. I wish everyone would just slow down and pay attention b/c it would be a lot better then. Having this happen to this girl really makes me think about death a lot. So thats what i think about that.....and im going to go now....rip regina :(
